What IS fascia??

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and infuses with every organ, muscle, nerve, and blood vessel all the way down to a cellular level. It is an elasto -collagenous complex that creates a web that extends from the top of the head down to the toes. Functionally, it serves to support and protect the structures, as well as to create separation between structures. It creates space through which nerves, blood vessels, and fluids pass.

FAQs

What is Myofascial Release?

JFB-MFR is a hands-on, specialized technique that involves gentle stretching and compression over time to treat painful restrictions in the body’s fascial system.

What will MFR do for me?

JFB-MFR restores range of motion and flexibility, thereby reducing tightness, pain, and discomfort. It is a highly effective technique for treating chronic or unexplained pain. MFR creates long lasting results and is safe and gentle for all ages (including babies!).

Why is JB-MFR more valuable than other treatments out there?

MFR is longer lasting than other modalities (ie. stretch, massage)

  • MFR therapists use time and pressure to make lasting changes within your body

  • MFR allows for decreased pain and increased function with daily activities

  • MFR therapists can hold your fascia in just the right way to allow for re-hydration so it can loosen it’s grip on your pain sensitive structures and begin to unravel, setting your body free

  • MFR therapists consider the entire body in gravity (standing) and out of gravity (laying on table) and can see where you may have a “snag” in your system causing pain.
